Basketball recruiting calendar and timeline

NCAA Division I

NCAA Division I basketball has its own recruiting calendar with men's and women's rules that differ. xAthlete builds basketball timelines from the current official calendar for the athlete's program.

Division II, III and NAIA/JUCO

D2: After June 15 preceding junior year there are no limits on calls, texts, emails or off-campus contact in D2. Recruiting materials can be sent to you at any time before that.

D3: D3 has the lightest restrictions: coaches can call, email and host you on campus once you finish sophomore year, and there are no athletic scholarships - so lead with academic fit, admissions and need/merit aid.
